Learning
At AISG, success means more than just high grades. We strive to nurture the academic and emotional intelligence of our students, ensuring high levels of learning for all while encouraging each student to embrace their own personal potentials. We’ve worked to develop and refine programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our students and crafted to balance American curriculum with an international perspective. Our programs and systems are dynamic and driven by best-practice research. They are designed and taught by experienced educators who embrace change and embed technology in innovative ways.
Arts, Athletics and Activities
AISG offers the most comprehensive arts, athletics and activities program of any international school in South China. We offer the widest variety of interscholastic sports, fine arts, performing arts, community service and after school clubs designed to cater to our students’ different and diverse needs. In providing a platform from which students can select a variety of after school activities, whether from an arts, sport, community or academic thread, they are able to carry on learning and experiencing success in a safe, nurturing and accommodating environment.
Innovation and Technology
At AISG, we place an emphasis on using technology for creation over consumption. By giving students agency in their learning and promoting a maker’s mindset, teachers ensure every student is an empowered creator. Student creation is at the center of what we believe technology and innovation are about at AISG. We strive not only to prepare students with 21st-century skills, but to give them the tools and understanding to synthesize and share what they are learning outside of the classroom. We use cutting-edge technologies and resources that are supported by the most current research in innovative education. We take a student-centered approach to using technology to foster future-ready individuals.
College Counseling
AISG’s “Best Fit Philosophy” seeks to support students through tailor-made, individualized college plans aimed at connecting students to pathways and college programs they are passionate about pursuing. Our graduates’ choices for post-secondary education are as varied and unique as they are. At AISG, we know students are not just looking for a college but a home where they can thrive and excel as they enter the next stage of their learning journey. Part of the notion of preparing our students to be future-ready lies in the belief that one size does not fit all, and that every student needs a process of college selection and application that will serve their individual interests, talents, and passions.
