Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

We inspire all of our students to be ambitious. We aspire to offer the highest quality learning by creating an education system tailored to the individual needs of every child. The staff blend opportunity, challenge and support to ensure that our students have a truly international education.

Teaching approach of the school

Our highest priority is excellence in education. We deliver the best for your child through a blended curriculum and an approach to learning that raises all students to high levels of achievement, we combine the best of the British and international curricula to provide a stimulating education throughout a student's school life.
At Primary level, your child will benefit from challenging and fun activities that will advance their reading and numeracy abilities, and instil a love of learning that will stay with them for years. Our classes draw from the International Primary Curriculum, which allows young children to explore the wonders of reading and mathematics, as well as art, history, geography, music, sport, technology and science.
We use the English National Curriculum as the basis for our classes between ages 11 and 14. The National Curriculum for England enables students to confidently transition from primary education to the IGCSE, and develops the skills and confidence your child will need to thrive.
As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, Compass International School Doha follows an approach to learning that stresses that every child has the capacity to succeed, regardless of their starting point. Your child will be challenged to work closely with others, inspired to take leadership roles, and encouraged to develop the assuredness and ambition that transforms promising minds into future achievers.
In Year 10, students at Madinat Khalif, Compass International School, Doha start studying for their IGCSEs. The international General Certificate of Secondary Education is an international version of the GCSE exams, which form part of the widely-recognised British Curriculum.

These exams provide a solid bridge to further study such as the IB Diploma, and give children more autonomy to choose the subjects that inspire them. Students will tackle a range of subjects before sitting exams at the end of Year 11.
We offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma from Year 12, this is a two-year course that allows students to reach the standards set by national education systems worldwide, while building their confidence and leadership and broadening their understanding of world cultures.
The IB Diploma presents a variety of challenges for the student. They must follow six subjects, complete an extended essay, complete a Creative, Activity, Service section (CAS), and study a "Theory of Knowledge" course which promotes critical thinking and analysis.
