Since 1977, Gimnasio del Norte has educated young people prepared for global society challenges and ready to positively impact their environments. We have belonged to the International Baccalaureate Organization since 1993, and we are one of the few Colombian schools that offer all their IB programs (IB Continuum): Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program. This way we facilitate our students’ development of all the attributes of the Program during their different growth stages. IB attributes. The educational environment
For early childhood, the Primary Years Program (PYP) provides schools with a carefully designed method to give children aged three to five exactly what they need. The PYP was created 17 years ago by the International Baccalaureate (IB). We know that younger learners are smart, resourceful, and creative people who grow, develop, and learn at different pace. They explore their environment and learn about the world through the game and relationships with peers, teachers, family, and community members. Learning takes place in dynamic environments that promote play, discovery, and exploration.
