Students from The British School of Tashkent (BST) achieved outstanding results at the 2026 NEO Science Olympiad, an international academic competition that brings together high-achieving students in science, mathematics, and technology from around the world.
The Grand Final, held from 9–16 January 2026 in Orlando, USA, saw students competing alongside peers from more than 21 countries. The Olympiad is designed to challenge students through rigorous assessments and interdisciplinary tasks that reflect real-world scientific and mathematical applications.
Strong Performance Across Multiple Disciplines
BST students competed across a wide range of subject areas, including Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and DIY projects. Their performance demonstrated not only strong subject knowledge, but also key skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
In total, BST students achieved an impressive 44 medals and 10 Honourable Mentions, comprising:
- 21 Gold Medals
- 11 Silver Medals
- 12 Bronze Medals
These results placed The British School of Tashkent among the top-performing schools participating in the 2026 NEO Science Olympiad.
Competing on an International Academic Stage
The NEO Science Olympiad is recognised for its interdisciplinary approach, encouraging students to apply scientific and mathematical concepts to authentic, real-world challenges. Participation in the Olympiad provided BST students with the opportunity to test their knowledge in a competitive international environment and to engage with students from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds.
