Our children, a girl and a boy, attended Kendale from age 3 to 10 and both loved it. They have great memories and are always happy to take part in the yearly May Fair, a time to catch up with old and new friends and staff. Many schools have great teachers and a great curriculum but not many can offer the family feeling we found at Kendale, this is what makes the school stand out. The only thing missing during our time there was adequate school facilities, an issue that has definitely been solved now that the school has moved to the wonderful Via di Grottarossa location.

Our daughters, aged 5 and 10, spent several years studying in Australia before we had to return to Italy for this school year. Finding a school that could offer continuity while also helping them adapt to a new environment was our biggest concern, and Kendale exceeded our expectations.

What impressed us most was the warmth and empathy we found from the very beginning. Both the teachers and the students made our daughters feel welcome, included, and supported. Starting at a new school in a different country can be challenging, but thanks to the caring environment, the transition was much easier than we had imagined.

I went to Kendale when I was a kid and it changed my life for the better in so many ways! I’ve spoken English fluently since I was four, I interacted with so many different people and cultures and it shaped the way I see the world! Now I’ve sent my daughter there and she is thriving! They have small classes where the teachers really focus on each kid, the kids have entire conversations in English after only a few months, the food is good, they have so many wonderful extra activities! I would recommend it to anyone, it will have a major impact on the rest of your kids’ lives! Once a kendalian, a kendalian forever!

I can only speak highly of Kendale.
The classes are small, which allows the teachers to give each student an exceptional level of attention. Every day I see my son making progress, both academically and on a personal level. He started knowing only a few words of English, and in less than eight months I can say that he understands everything and speaks confidently.
The teachers have a structured and demanding educational approach, while at the same time being incredibly warm and attentive in teaching important values such as respect and friendship.
I truly feel that this is a genuinely international school: half of the children are international, the other half Italian, and they are expected to speak English, yet the atmosphere is incredibly warm, with the children forming close friendships and enjoying a remarkable sense of harmony.

We are truly happy with our experience at Kendale. Our son, who is three and a half, goes to school every day with a smile, and that says everything to us as parents.
The teachers are kind, attentive and genuinely caring. They have created a warm and stimulating environment where children feel safe, encouraged and free to grow at their own pace. We have seen our son become more confident, curious and independent, while also learning how to interact with others in a thoughtful and respectful way. What we appreciate most is the balance between learning, play and emotional care. Kendale feels like a place where children are not only taught, but truly understood.

Kendale is a family run and community cantered school. My son finished last year and my daughter is continuing her learning journey with this fantastic establishment. As a parent I love the small class sizes as I feel they are getting individual attention. The mix of international and Italian students makes for a beautiful environment where children learn about different cultures and experiences. The teachers are professional and always willing to help with any issues we may have. I am incredibly grateful that the school has an on-site cook and doesn’t bring in outside catering without any extra cost. I don’t like the food.
I don’t like that too many students are not fluent in English, rather they don’t know English at all. So, I struggle trying to interact with them.

After a long investigation and analysis of all the International Schools in Rome I fell in love with Kendale because of an overall good vibe, its general atmosphere, the campus with a spacious garden, the teachers and their caring attitude and empathy, the educational program, its flexible yet firm rules. I appreciate the non mandatory use of a uniform which allows the students to be individuals and express their own style. I like the friendly philosophy. I love the mood. I hope Kendale will extend its way of teaching with love by offering also middle school, not just primary. If you care for your children and want them to feel at home Kendale is the right school. And I hope more native English speaking families will send their kids here. We are New Yorkers living in Rome and we are very happy of our choice.

A family like school with a big heart. Small classes and a great deal of attention for each student! The school is also. brand new and the classrooms have a great deal of natural light facing the garden. Maybe missing some sport facilities, but overall a very pleasant and new structure.

Kendale has been a very important part of my life as a n ex student and as a parents as both of my kids attended this wonderful school.
It' s not only the academics but the warm and safe environment, it's really lioke a big family.

Excellent and wonderful school

This wonderful school changed my life for the better! I learned English at 5 years old and have spoken it ever since. It opened my mind to different cultures, people, places, languages! It made me love books and travel. It filled 5 years of my life with a joy and a creativity and an enthusiasm I have never forgotten! Can’t wait to send my daughter there!

Ex student here, I frequented kendale primary international school around 10 years ago, and I can say it was an amazing experience.

The teachers were passionate and knowledgeable, and they made learning fun and engaging.
What really stood out to me was how much the school cared about its students.
The school was also really supportive of students who wanted to pursue their passions in music and Art.
Overall, I would highly recommend Kendale to anyone looking for a great education in a supportive and fun environment.

Once a Kendalian a Kendalian forever!

I have a 9 year old and a 7 year old who are currently enrolled in Kendale. Both girls wake up in the morning WANTING to go to school.. they are incredibly happy there and this is essential in their development and their learning. The teachers are amazing, inspiring learning, respect, and good citizenship through various activities and schoolwork, and I see my girls thrive each day. The school, and the other parents and children there - feel like an extension of our family - and this creates a wonderful atmosphere for the children and, honestly , for us parents as well!!!
The academics are very strong and competitive - comparing with what I see in other schools as well. Overall we are super thrilled with Kendale.

I will talk about results. My kid, age 7, entered school last year, with very little English knowledge, and no writing abilities in English. After a year he can stand a conversation and writes beautiful stories in English... Still a lot of work to do, but he is happy going to school, and we as parents can feel every day the amazing work the kendale team makes.

Well that day finally arrived and my son has been going to Kendale for these last 3 years. With no surprise to me, he has learned so much and so quickly since he got there. He loves going to school every day and misses his friends and teachers during weekends and holidays.

Not a simple international school but a way of being. My son, italian, improve day by day. I really appreciated not only the way they have to teach, throught the games, but also the care and and the respect they give to the students, theaching them love for all the world and the people.
The school will change location next year and we are very excting for everything they could immagine and manage with a new, huge, beautiful garden!

This school has a lovely family environment. I felt at home and happy to be at school. Learning was always great fun and exciting. Our teachers really cared about us and stayed after school to make sure il everything would be ready for us the next day. They gave us careful feedback and allowed me to have great grades later as an older student.
