Yes, all students must do an assessment (written and oral tests) before placement into the program.

Assessments typically last 60 minutes. Students will be placed based on age and English numeracy and literacy abilities.
Based on the results of the interview and assessment, students enter the assessed level for a 3-day trial for further observation from the teacher.
