I am so delighted to have found this wonderful learning environment for my four-year-old daughter. She is being taught to embrace the world around her and take responsibility in caring for it, as well as her classmates, who she enjoys learning from and in turn helping to teach in the mixed aged group. She comes home completely covered in mud and so enthusiastic about the topics they have been studying and the team projects they undertake like recusing baby frogs and making them a pond completely from scratch. It is clear that she is learning phonics and practising numbers - but this is done in a fun way without putting pressure on the child and as part of a bigger theme. Her mental health has greatly improved since moving her to this school from a more formal and rigid learning environment. She is learning more and worrying less! Couldn’t recommend more.

A brave and brilliant innovation which is growing from strength to strength, facing challenges head on and acknowledging our children’s joys and intuition and the natural phases of development. An educational approach which frankly fills us all with joy, listening to the needs of our early learners and our planet and the need to be both a free thinker and a team player. Every morning our children skip in to school.

My girls run around exploring learning and seeing and smelling nature. They want for nothing more. They explore themes of the day/week outside in nature! The set up at the school is more beautiful than a modern converted barn and there are chickens and animals they have to look after! They made marmalade, lavender cookies, stinging nettle water and all the while still learning their numbers, letters and reading. It’s absolutely magical

Alma Forest is just the most wonderful environment for learning, exploring and playing! My child is so happy here and I couldn't speak highly enough about the teachers, the ethos and the location and facilities. 100% would recommend Alma Forest
