Viking international is an exceptionel School. It has a warm, inclusive, diverse environment and community.
The staff are all extremely qualified, knowledgeable, empathetic and supportive. They always have time for you and your child and every single person knows who you are your child is.
Compared to other international schools Viking is so well priced and compared to what they offer it’s a steal.
They have small classes so there is always time for each and every child. In addition to the classroom teacher there is also a wellness teacher in every classroom. The wellness team is run by the onsite psychologist who is also the owner of the schools two therapy dogs.
The dogs provide such a great emotional support to the students and because of their training they also teach the students to be comfortable around animals.
Viking school also gave several calm spaces throughout the school as well as a zen den where the students can go if they feel overwhelmed or just need a moment to decompress.
If your child has ants in their pants, that’s not a problem at viking. Our child has a wobble chair as well as the opportunity to stand, go to the back of the classroom and move, which enable our child to concentrate on the learning instead of the ants:)
There is room for everyone at the school and it’s not a one size fits all approach. Each child has their own learning plan and all the teachers are aware of each child’s strengths and work in progress areas.
The communication between school and parents are absolutely vital at Viking, they always have time for a meeting, a chat or messages through the school app.
Viking is currently building a brand new school in Kildedal with lots of room inside and out. The students have been part of the planning, designing and idea sharing journey of the new build. They go to the new grounds often where they have planted trees, gardens and other spaces.
At Viking every single student has a voice and is encouraged to use it. The zen den is a product of student votes and it was designed and executed by the students, supported by the staff.
I have no doubt that any child would thrive at Viking school, so if you want an independent, strong, knowledgeable, emotional intelligent child who cares for others, animals, the environment and themselves Viking school is for you.

Viking International school has been a fantastic experience for us as parents and for our son. All of the staff has been communicative with us from when we first reached out with an interest to enroll our child and throughout our nearly two years as part of the community. Our child has flourished under the guidance of his teachers and his peers and we have had no issues at all working with teachers and staff to problem solve and make their experience and our better.
Viking International teaches not only the necessary reading, writing and maths, but also teaches their students to think, problem solve and show empathy. We recommend Viking International School to everyone, not only for their exemplary hard work, but for their inclusion of students of all needs, including those students with special needs, which was something we struggled with in finding a school for our child upon moving to Denmark in all city International schools.

The smaller class sizes and cosy environment is exactly what we were looking for for our son and daughter, and they are both thriving in the school. We are happy with the academic curriculum and the wonderful theme weeks where the kids do projects. Right now we're looking forward to seeing the Viking museum they have created for the parents! I recommend this school highly to anyone looking for a closeknit school community and all the advantages a smaller school has!

The school is not diverse and has majority of kids from India. They have tie up with TCS and all parents employed in TCS only send their kids there. If you are looking for your kid to be in multi cultural environment, this is not a good choice then. Parents over here have already applied to different international schools and go here as last option.
The school lacks infrastructure- there are no proper class rooms- rather they need to combine grades 1 and 2 in one class. They are also planning to start grade 3 and 4 next year- again with class combine concept. They do not have proper segregation between kids grades.
School starts at 8.15am- they do not have before SFO facility as there are no parents willing to have this facility. This makes difficult for both working parents. School also does not have much clubs or facilities for after SFO as well as there are less parents willin... read full review

Viking International School is a fabulous and innovative school at Ballerup, Denmark. My daughter loves her school very much .The principal and all the teachers work together to ensure all children are learning , at the same time playing and having fun. During online classes I have noticed that the teachers are encouraging the children to ask questions, use their imagination and express themselves. As a parent I am really very much happy to see my child improvement in her confidence as well as her love for learning.

Great to have a school with focus on both STEM as well as language ( both English and Danish). Learning while having fun is what keeps me and my daughter both happy and satisfied!
