Chengdu Meishi International School boasts a beautiful campus and first-class facilities, offering both boarding and day programs for students from grades 1 through 12. Founded in 2002 with the backing of Chengdu Meishi Culture Co., Ltd., an affiliate of the Shenzhen Meishi Group, CMIS was one of the first international schools in Southwest China to welcome both domestic and international students. |
| Teaching approach of the school |
Since its founding, CMIS has prioritized academic excellence by fostering a vibrant learning environment. Small class sizes and the implementation of current best practices empower students to thrive. The school embraces cultural diversity and integrates Chinese and Western methodologies, fostering a global mindset through inquiry-based education. This philosophy attracts students from around the world, creating a truly international learning community. As a testament to its commitment to international education, CMIS has been authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as an IB World School and holds accreditation from the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and Accreditation International (Ai). This distinction positions CMIS among a select few schools worldwide offering the full IB continuum – the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). In addition, since 2023, CMIS has introduced the Advanced Placement (AP) program to cater to the varied needs of students and parents. |
