The technology is embedded in the curriculum along the school from nursery to Baccalaureate. The school has a vertical planning which integrates the computational thinking and computer and robotic program in most of the subjects. 4- BYOD Project (Bring on Your Device). Baccalaureate, ESO and 4th, 5th and 6th EP students can bring their own portable devices to school, with the center providing all the physical and software tools that the project requires for optimal and safe operation. Students have electronic security lockers at their disposal where they store and charge their devices, as well as a common software package, Office 365 and antivirus for use both inside and outside the school.
5- Robotics and STEAM activities included in the technology curriculum. Robotics through LEGO is included in the curriculum in all primary and secondary schools. - Adaptability of learning i due to the COVID -19 pandemic
From Infant Education to Baccalaureate, the students are able to maintain the academic rhythm through the school's digital platforms, such as TEAMS, ManageBac, One Note, Blinklearning, Forms and MySEK, among others, which has allowed the activity not to stop and have been able to meet the schedules.
- Live classes
The preparation of teachers and the technological provision of the team of teachers with laptops, digital tablets and digital ink computers make possible live learning through screens, or through blended or flipped classroom activities, one of the major milestones of the course. Live physical education classes with tabatas, cardio sessions, yoga, fitness, music classes with instruments created from recyclable material, or plastic education with interactive work through software and shared documents have been a challenge and an achievement at all levels.
- Emotional care of students, families and teachers.
Both the teaching staff and the students have had the presence of the school's guidance department and Mindfullness activities to accompany the start of the day with the students. In addition, care modules have been taken into account for students, families and teachers in which the emotional situation due to confinement has made their intervention necessary.
- Parent classrooms
From the communication department and in collaboration with the Camilo José Cela University, a series of conferences have been given for families and teachers with themes related to the emotional care of adults and minors in times of prolonged confinement. Experts in the field and professors from the Faculty of Health have been the speakers who have participated fortnightly in these talks.
- Technology training
Throughout the period from March to June, there have been training courses in the management of technological resources and tools for teachers, which have enabled and promoted interaction and learning with students through the school's digital platforms. From the educational technology department of the Institution, a weekly Newsletter was created that collected all the news related to this field, and with the calendar of the different courses and webinars that have been given.
- Tutorial attention
The tutorial program for students and families has been maintained and, if possible, has been closer and more frequent, making possible all the technology and the TEAMS platform. The teachers have continued with their individual and group tutoring sessions, and weekly subject reports have been prepared detailing the student's academic situation, as well as any incidence in the emotional or attendance field, which has been very good received by families.
- Evaluation
The evaluation of the student has been done according to the evaluation criteria set at the beginning of the course and based on the evaluation of the work and performance of the student in the classes, as well as by carrying out written tests and exams on digital platforms such as Forms that have allowed the students to take their final exams and obtain their grade with the pertinent comments and feedback.
The evaluation sessions have been held online through the Teams Channel.
- Extraordinary events
The students have had the opportunity to participate in different events throughout the confinement period, such as CICAE digital school debate tournaments, Almmun United Nations Model, Sek Lab junior entrepreneurship contest, where the 5EP students were finalists and won a prize to their proposal for an interactive digital mask, or with the 6EP exhibition sessions where the students presented their research work to the entire community in a 100% digital event and in which 25 students presented the results of their projects live to more 200 attendees at the event.

Throughout the months of confinement there have been expressions of gratitude from the members of the teaching staff to the families and students, from the students and families to the teachers, and from the entire community to the health workers and members and forces of the state that They have fought and are fighting in the pandemic. Do students practice religion at the school? What religion?

No. The families have the choose between two subjects, Catholic Religion or Religions History from Grade 1st to Grade 11th.

How does the school accommodate non-religious students or students of a different religion?

The students that do not want to course Catholic Religion, course the other option and the class students has both subjects at the same time but in different classes.

The school has a guidance department staffed by 3 professionals:
• Degree in Teaching and Psychopedagogy specialized in Early Childhood Education.
• Graduated in Psychology and specialized in Special Needs for Primary Education.

The department is responsible of
• Attend to the needs of students at different educational stages, as well as to attend to families and teachers who require it.
• At the same time, they coordinate the actions of detection and diagnosis of the learning abilities of each student.
• Coordinate, inform and guide lines of action both at home and at school to work with students.
• They are in charge of doing the admission tests for new students.
• They organize 4 sessions a year for families called “Parents Classroom”, where a training and learning service related to topics of educational interest is offered.
• Responsible for career guidance from the 3rd year of ESO to the 2nd year of Baccalaureate, with the organization of events and talks with professionals to bring this world closer to the academic world.
• They lead the "Professional for a day" program in which students visit and spend a day in work centers related to their interests (30 collaborating companies)

Brief description of entry evaluation required

All applications for admission to the school are analysed and follow a rigorous admission protocol that is summarized in the following sections:
1. Interview of the family with the head of the admissions department. During the interview, a first contact is made with the student and the family, the academic record is assessed and a visit is made to the school facilities.
2. Psychotechnical and academic tests according to the stage, as well as the level of English. After the first interview and once passed, the Guidance Department carries out the aforementioned tests to determine the academic level and other considerations that, if the complete process is completed and admitted, will be included in the initial information of the academic record and tutorial.
3. Interview of the Class coordinator with the student. Once the tests with the Guidance Department have been passed, a meeting is held with the Stage Coordinator where information on the candidate continues to be collected, as well as information of importance to the student for their incorporation.
4. Socio-family survey and health survey, which must be completed by the family after completing the previous procedure.
5. Final meeting of the pedagogical council for the final decision, made up of the Head of Admissions, Counselor, Coordinator and Director, where in light of all the steps admission is authorized or denied, with the reasons and reasons necessary to inform the family.
6. Communication to the family of the incorporation or not to the center. The head of admissions communicates the final decision to the family and begins with the administrative procedures for enrollment if the case proceeds.
7. SEK for one day. Before the new incorporation, future students are invited to come to the school and spend a day in what will be their future class, improving the adaptation process for their first day as a SEK Alborán student. Supervised care before/after school

The school has a special service which starts at 08:00AM called “Morning Aula” for families who cannot leave their children at 09:00, and after 17:00AM to 18:00, the students has the “Permanence Service” to stay until their parents could collect them.

School bus service available

The school has 9 bus routes that collect students from the main towns in the province, with no further than 50 Km of distance and a maximum travel time of 55 minutes.

School provided lunches

The food service is carried out by the Catergest company and is carried out with its own kitchen, made with fresh products from local suppliers.
The design of the menu for each stage is prepared by a nutritionist from the supplier company and quarterly is communicated to families with a recommendation for dinners based on the midday meal.
The dining concept is half board. Includes lunch with a first course, two main courses to choose from and dessert, and a mid-afternoon snack for Infant School and Primary, and a mid-morning snack for Secondary School and Baccalaureate. In these last stages, students have the option of the SALAD BAR, which is a salad buffet to encourage the habit of eating vegetables with 14 ingredients to choose from.
There are three dining rooms in the school:
• Nursery school canteen: 30 seats

• Canteen for Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate: 400 seats.

• 1 Physics and Chemistry Laboratory: 30 places. In ESO and Baccalaureate, activities are developed within the specific programming of the subject, with a frequency of two/three monthly sessions. In ESO, in addition, the activities are carried out in English. The practice groups are small (12 students per group) and have a specialist teacher.
