As a parent, choosing Marymount International School for our child was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Watching our child grow from the Early Childhood years through to Grade 12 has been an extraordinary journey, and we couldn't be more grateful for the education and community that Marymount provided.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Marymount is much more than an academically strong school. The teachers genuinely care about every student, creating a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and compassionate. The academic standards are exceptionally high, but they are balanced with a focus on developing character, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
One of the school's greatest assets is its stunning campus. Set on 40 acres of beautiful parkland in the heart of Rome, the campus provides an inspiring environment where students can learn, play, and grow. It offers the best of both worlds—a peaceful, green setting with exceptional facilities, while still being just minutes from one of the world's most historic and vibrant cities.
What impressed us most was the breadth of opportunities available beyond the classroom. Our child thrived through varsity sports, discovering the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership. The visual arts and drama programs were equally outstanding, providing opportunities to develop creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Every student is encouraged to explore their passions and discover their strengths.
Marymount's international community is truly one of its greatest strengths. Our child formed lifelong friendships with students from around the world and developed an appreciation for different cultures and perspectives that will stay with them for life. The school's mission of service, respect, integrity, and global citizenship is woven into every aspect of school life, helping students become not only successful learners but also kind and responsible people.
As parents, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is happy, challenged, and supported every day. Marymount exceeded our expectations in every way. We leave with immense gratitude for the teachers, staff, and community who played such an important role in shaping our child's future. My son is in the last year of Middle School and I have to say that the atmosphere is fantastic. His teachers are amazing and he loves his classes and enjoys making friends with other students from all over the world. Good job Marymount, and keep doing what you're doing!

Marymount International School, Rome, is a great and distinguished institution with very beautiful environment, great curriculum and a tutorial methodology that transforms the students very positively, bringing out the best in them. I have four kids enrolled in the 2022 - 2023 session and the intellectual and moral transformation they have received from Marymount International School is excellent and exceptional. Marymount International School, Rome Italy, should rate among the top best in Europe.

We spent one year (2025) in the Early Childhood program at Marymount Rome and were deeply disappointed with the educational approach. Several activities promised at the beginning were never delivered and many were poorly organized.
Children watched TV for 30 minutes on daily basis on the huge screen, with no option for parents to opt out this TV routine.
We were also surprised that, due to the school’s policy, parents cannot access any information about the teachers’ qualifications or experience. Even searching online provides zero information about the educational team responsible for your child. Only 1 of the 4 teachers in our class was a native English speaker (BTW, she spoke Irish English, not American).

My child attended the Early Childhood years at Marymount before we relocated back to the U.S. and we can honestly say this was one of the best experiences we have ever had in a foreign country. The teachers were warm and welcoming and my son greatly enjoyed playing with so many other international children. The various green areas and playgrounds were a great plus too. We took away some great memories with us and hope to come back one day to visit!

My three children have been at Marymount International School since the age of three. they are stimulated, involved, happy to go to school everyday, and studying hard. The intense time in the classroom is counterbalanced by the time allotted to going outside to get some air and run around on the beautiful grass areas which characterize the campus. The teachers are well prepared, engaging and caring towards each student and their ability to differentiate within the classrooms is unique. The additional added value for this year is the offer of organic and local produce for lunch. Definitely the best international school in Rome. I highly recommend it.

My daughter graduated from Marymount in 2022, and the was a student at Marymount for 15 years. Throughout all of her schooling career she was taught by wonderful teachers. The management of the school, I have to say, was impeccable during COVID times. The last two years of High School my daughter sat the IB and she graduated with excellent results. The College Counseling was fantastic, I can only praise the guidance that she was given. The campus is the best you can find in Rome and the community is vibrant and welcoming!
