There are some excellent teachers, but the school management is not professional and lacks a basic pedagogical understanding of handling children and the conflicts that can arise. The school director finds himself screaming at the children and dismissing them for biased attitudes towards a student. If you believe your child should be met with understanding and possibilities to develop good values, this is not the right place. But if you believe in the old-fashioned student-teacher relationship mentality of the last century, you will probably be okay.
We, as parents, didn’t know the school would be that different from the Scandinavia values we believe in; therefore, we had to move our child before the school year was over.
The school management is also greedy for money. I have spoken to a former teacher who has told me that they cannot get a full pension after they have left... read full review

The British College is an absolutely outstanding school. We have two children, one in Primary school and the other one started Year 13 in September. He has just finished his AS Levels with fantastic results. The option choices for IGCSE, AS and A Level are the best we have ever seen in any school before. The team is great and there is no staff turnover at all. Our children used to go to another school on the Coast where teachers were changed all the time, even more than once during the year. This was very frustrating and had a very negative impact on our children. It is very important for us to see the same teachers year after year working together. We moved from the UK eight years ago and the transition was so smooth we could not believe it.
We feel part a family here and we would like to thank every single member of staff. Headmistress, Deputy Head, office staff, teachers… We ... read full review

Simply outstanding! We couldn´t be happier. Our children are thriving and so happy in school. Thanks ever so much to this amazing team of teachers and management team.

For us, finding the right school for our three children when we first moved to Spain from the UK was not easy at all. Before finding the perfect school for our children, The British College of Benalmádena, our children went to two other schools. I only wish we had found this fantastic school from the beginning.
Keeping a long story short, we made the mistake of enrolling our children in an international school in the area, instead of a British one. The so called “international” school was a Spanish school, full stop. They were following Spanish primary and secondary and a very strange version of the IB. Our children were very distressed because they did not speak Spanish and they were unable to follow the lessons at all. The school had a nice building, but nothing was being taught inside it. We obviously left.
We wanted a British school so we contacted the British College ... read full review

Horrible experience. The management team (and especially the headteacher) only care about money and not education. They are generally rude with students and parents alike. Teachers are good, but the management team is not. We have never had such a bad experience in any of the international schools our kids have been too. If you're considering this school, I would definitely consider it twice.

The facilities are correct, nothing overwhelming, but sufficient. Teachers are great professionals. Now, the management team is an absolute disgrace. Never in my life have I seen less classy people running a school that claims to live to the highest standards. The attention to parents is deplorable and the responses they give are at the level of people with very low status.
