What does The British School Lisbon school offer

Facilities

The campus provides a wonderfully bright, modern environment in which students can study and explore. The campus is located in the heart of Lisbon at Cais do Sodré and students have access to up-to-date and traditional tools, specialist classrooms, central library and more.

The school library provides access to collections, services, and spaces sufficient in quality, depth, diversity, and format to support BSL's research and teaching missions.

While on campus, teachers take advantage of the school’s wireless internet network and Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) that enable the presentation of all media types in the classroom.

The school has designed practice, rehearsal, and performances spaces to help young artists realise their level of success as music and drama students.

Learning

The British School of Lisbon’s curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum. This curriculum is considered by many to be the gold standard as it is both rigorous, respected and recognised around the world. BSL's curriculum is adapted to allow a more international perspective and includes studies of local culture, language and heritage.

The curriculum for England is segmented into phases of Early Years, Primary and Secondary schools. BSL currently offers Early Years and Primary school.
