Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

The Lighthouse is a child-centered, progressive primary school created by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Its mission is to provide holistic education based on established and successful models used by global leaders in confidence building, creative thinking and academic achievement. While we follow in the English National curriculum we are developing our own more 'evolutionary' pedagogies designed to storify the educational experience so students enter into adventures that contain learning and mystery. We aim to inspire students to become partners and co-creators of their curricula, so as to enhance ownership, motivation and confidence to say nothing of creative and critical thinking,

Teaching approach of the school

Lighthouse School offers a broad and balanced curriculum using the National Curriculum for England and Scotland. The school uses Project Based Learning as well as Inquiry/Curiosity based learning. We make sure that when needed students get a personalized education based on their academic needs and we do emphasize their social and emotional needs.
