Doha Academy is an independent, privately owned day school situated in Doha, Qatar. It is open to students aged 3 – 18 or Kindergarten to Year 13, and follows the national curriculum for England. The school prepares students for the University of Cambridge International and EDEXCEL examinations (IGCSE at Year 11 & AS Level at Years 12).
Doha Academy opened in September 2000. The school is supported by the Al-Faleh Educational Holding and administered by the Board of Directors chaired by Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, a board member of SEC and ROTA.
Doha Academy is a Muslim institution of education, integrating academic and religious curricula for students to learn and grow with Islamic values and live in harmony with their Islamic beliefs in any society.
Boys and girls are separated in classes from year 6 upwards. The school offers a British-based curriculum combined with Islamic teachings from preschool through to year 13. The school attracts students from Qatar and further afield including other Middle Eastern countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Europe, The United States, Canada, and Australia reflecting diversity within the Muslim Ummah.

Doha Academy includes a group of nationally and internationally accredited independent group of co-educational schools situated in Doha, Qatar. It warmly welcomes all Kindergarten (aged 3) to Year 13 (aged 18) students and offers a blended curriculum comprised of the “National Curriculum in England”, Cambridge International Curriculum, and Qatar’s National Curriculum. The school very successfully prepares students for UK-assessed IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations in Year 11 and Advanced Level examinations in Year 12 and 13. Doha Academy was founded by Dr. Sheikha Aisha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani in September 2000. It now comprises three schools – DA Al Waab, DA Salwa, and Doha International Kindergarten – educating over 2500 students representing on average 55 nationalities. Male and female students are taught in separate classrooms from Year 6 upwards. In addition to an emphasis upon literacy and numeracy development, Doha Academy also promotes inclusion through differentiated practice and provision. Embedded in all of its practices is the promotion of Islamic teachings and principles. The group is part of Al Faleh Educational Holding Q.P.S.C., which is committed to nurturing young people to become citizens who are socially responsible and who have a strong sense of national identity. As of November 2022, Doha Academy Al Waab and Salwa Branches were fully internationally accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC), having already been awarded Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) earlier in 2022. In addition to meeting NEASC’s five exacting “Foundation Standards” covering Learning & Teaching, Leadership & Governance, Human Resources, Finance & Facilities, and Health & Safety, the schools were also placed on NEASC’s highest accreditation pathway “ACE Learning”. Doha Academy Al Waab is the largest of our campuses providing an all-through KG-12 British-based education for boys and girls.
Our Al Waab campus is divided into three blocks: Block A hosts the Secondary Boys’ section, Block B hosts the EYFS and Primary section, and Block C hosts the Secondary Girls’ section. The school is split comfortably over four floors and compromises of 160 well-furnished and equipped classrooms. Our class sizes are small and with a total building size measuring over 19,000 sqm there is ample space for students to learn comfortably.
The campus boasts three libraries, three indoor gyms, three medical clinics with full time nurses, numerous science labs, a large auditorium and outside play areas. Wi-Fi extends to all teaching and learning areas.
Salwa School is a small, growing school with the greatest of aspirations for its students and staff. Situated in four attractive buildings, our school is organised into administrative, primary and secondary sections with girls and boys in separate classrooms and areas from Year 6 upwards. Our school boasts two science laboratories, two well-stocked libraries, two computer labs, WiFi throughout the school, cutting-edge interactive smart screens or the latest promethium interactive projectors in every teaching room, and ample outside shaded play and recreation areas.
Doha International Kindergarten is a full-time private school open to all children aged 3 – 5 years old. We follow the National Curriculum of England, Early Years Foundation Stage, (EYFS) and we operate under the umbrella of Doha Academy.
Doha International Kindergarten has a very homely feel, where the children feel happy and comfortable. Set across 2 buildings, there are 9 classrooms across the ground floors. Children not only enjoy time in their own form rooms but move around the other classrooms experiencing a range of activities both teacher led and child initiated.
Out to the front of the buildings is a play area which is divided into 4 sections, to ensure children are both stimulated and excited about their playtimes.
