About the school
| Qualities and characteristics best defining the school |
Our culture and curriculum are built around our 6 core values and 12 leadership competencies. Our school's mission is to raise a generation of ethical change agents for Cambodia who can practice problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, communication, and self-awareness. We immerse our students in the values of determination, integrity, optimism and appreciation. |
| Teaching approach of the school |
At Liger, we call our teaching staff Learning Facilitators as we firmly believe that their role is to facilitate learning alongside students in a collaborative approach. Roughly 50% of each student's day is spent in their Essentials classes (English, Khmer, Science, Math), which provide the foundational knowledge and academic rigor for 21st-century learning. The other half of the day is spent on project-based courses (Technology, Creative Arts, Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, Explorations). These courses use the world as a classroom and ground the students in proposing solutions to real-world problems by responding to essential questions and often use research, networking with experts, and technology to produce an impactful outcome. |
