International School - Zurich West emphasises the study of languages. Students begin German in Pre-Kindergarten. French is offered to students from Grade 5.

Teaching approach of the school

The Primary School Programme for students aged 3 to 11 is an international programme designed to foster the development of the whole student encompassing social, physical emotional and cultural needs as well as academic welfare.

Its aim is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

The Primary School Programme is driven by concept acquisition and is inquiry-based. The body of knowledge studied has both local and global significance.
