We use tablets to enhance the learning experience and develop new skills for students. For example, to shoot videos, create 3D images or for coding class. Tablets are used to enhance learning, but not to replace the tasks that can be done with hands on materials.

We have established Home-Based Learning (HBL) system that combines pre-recorded lessons and Zoom sessions. Student's work is checked daily and feedback is given by the teacher. Our HBL system allows our students to be independent learners and requires minimum support from parents.
We worked closely with parents to established HBL System that is beneficial for children and comfortable for parents.

Every two weeks, teachers give students homework grids that contain creative tasks for Maths, English and International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Completion of the homework is not compulsory but is to enhance student learning.

The main curriculum finishes at 1.00pm. Students have a choice to stay for Lunch and Extra-Curricular Activities(ECA) from 1.00pm to 3pm. We are the only school in Singapore that allows families to create their own timetable. ECAs are optional, you can sign up your child to attend ECA 5 days a week, or just a couple of days a week, or none at all. It is entirely up to the individual family to decide. We have two fee packages to give parents the choice.

Astor is a boutique school offering unique 4 hours program, academically rigorous curriculum, variety of ECAs, small class size (max. 20 students), flexible and individualized education. Curriculum: IPC, Singapore Math and English.
