Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

We are a new international school, inaugurated in 2019 and we are in the last stages of our IB candidacy. Located in a central neighbourhood and with capacity for 150 students, one of our strenghts is to provide a more nurturing environment, caring for each student's individual needs. Our language of instruction is English, and we have international teachers on our faculty. Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language are also valued through Portuguese classes, in which children explore the language through games and typically Brazilian activities.

Teaching approach of the school

We are a candidate school to offer the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and receive the seal of IB World School. In early childhood education, following the IB recommendation, the approach adopted is Reggio Emilia, a philosophy of education aimed at early childhood that, in addition to being very innovative and inspiring, sees the child as strong, capable, resilient and full of fascination and knowledge.
Our mission is to provide expatriate and local families with an international education that is broad, balanced and challenging. Through the creative use of technology and authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences, we aim to empower youngsters to be responsible lifelong learners.
