To clarify, I am CRITICIZING this school, I am not slandering it.
I want ICS as a school to improve and better itself, but for almost a decade, possibly more, is this all they have to offer?
For a school that advertises modernity, instead of following a curriculum where students interact with problems in a practical situation, we are forced to take down notes, copying from a board as our entire lesson plan.
This could potentially be from a national curriculum ICS has to follow, regardless, a very disappointing and wasteful spending of our time.
And not just me specifically, but from everyone else’s opinion, teachers especially, management here is terrible.
Terrible in the fact that priorities are set on maintaining “professionalism” instead of solving issues - students are impatient, more over, they are immature.
You cannot expect an 18 year old or younger to act mature when they haven’t even biologically done so yet. Being professional and being reasonable are two entirely different things, and it’s a line ICS fails to even read properly.
Why have students act like business men when you can just let them, well, act like children? Learning should cultivate interest, not rote memorization on meaningless matters that could’ve been taught in a far more interesting way.
In these past recent days, a lot of the focus has been shifting to leniency, which is what students actually wanted. Because of the relaxed environment, students are SO MUCH more motivated to study which has lead to an increase in scores and activity. But because of new policies and rules set by management these recent days, morale has completely dropped to zero. Students do not want to study. I’ve even heard some classmates complain about getting “sent down” for having a game tab open for one second. Those classmates of mine had never been sent down at all mind you.
Speaking of which, discipline is a joke here.
As I’ve said, while it has become more lenient, discipline regardless sucks because students are made to write hundreds of lines for silly mistakes. It does not teach students any lessons at all, which parallels to how students learn anyways in every day classes.
If punishment is quite literally the same as how we study in classrooms, it only shows how flawed ICS is and how they have completely missed the point of education.
Do better.

for the love of god, this school has no sports. I can see a lot of people mentioned this but, again, no sports? the classrooms DOES NOT have hygiene at all. i see roaches crawling up and down o tables, floors. personally, they should really clean their CLASSROOMS! some of the teachers arranged me in a project with literally no partner. At least put me in a 3 people group? out of all the other students i am the only one arranged to the project, alone. and also, careful for the some of the people reading this, Parents and students should know theres bullies in the school. the school provides free 2 sets of uniform free 2 sets of pe uniform and 2 pairs of friday t shirts. and free stationaries. ( still dont know what the green pens are used for).

they say they have sports? more like, they let you play sports if you pay up. and i remember reading the letter they gave to us informing us about the extra curriculum classes and it said the taekwondo uniform has to be at least $20 up. also, don't be fooled by their extravagant office with marble floorings, their chandelier and their minimalistic workspace because that's just the outside. if you have gotten inside our classes, you'd see old and sometimes non functioning air conditioners, no projectors, wooden tables, plastic chairs, broken lights (they were never fixed no matter how many times we told them), glass boards instead of a whiteboard (they're really hard to see), cramped spaces and very small spaces under the desks for storing books. our cafeteria, on the other hand, is very cramped. sometimes there aren't enough spaces for students to eat. their food doesn't look ve... read full review
