In kindergarten, LIS has chosen to learn children coding without screens. In primary school, and progressively throughout their schooling, students learn to use and master digital learning tools and to develop a critical approach to find reliable sources. Beyond being simple digital tools, specific software modules are used to develop and reinforce specific skills through memorisation and use practice exercise and training modules. |

Learning Support Programme |
Learning support offered |
A part of LIS' learning support program ensures that it encourages and enables all children to have full access to all elements of the School Curriculum. Smaller classes means that teachers are able to adapt the content of the class in response to the individual needs of each child. This support is furthered for students who require extra assistance. Within the staff LIS has specialists who are able to respond to and guide children presenting with learning and developmental difficulties (including but not limited to Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysphasia, Autism), behavioural difficulties (Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, and other mental or physical health challenges.) |

Teaching approach of the school |
LIS supports and nurtures children as they grow to reach their full potential, by providing a child-centred and developmentally appropriate curriculum while also safeguarding the insatiable curiosity that comes only with childhood. LIS' balanced curriculum offers each child the opportunity to strengthen their physical, emotional, social and intellectual abilities. Teaching the whole-child means, LIS goes beyond just great academics and places equal emphasis on learning in and about nature, taking part in sports, becoming more mindful, celebrating creativity and the arts and acquiring real-life skills, like working in a permaculture garden. This will help children become resourceful, mindful and confident individuals (perhaps polymaths) that are able to successfully take part in their world tomorrow. |
