Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

For more than 115 years, Collège Champittet, a Swiss school open to the world, has offered an excellent education on both its Pully/Lausanne campus (day school for ages 3 to 18 and boarding school as of age 12) and Nyon campus (ages 3 to 10). Dedicated teachers who understand their students, and a comprehensive academic programme allow our students to grow and develop their skills and talents in a caring environment, where their well-being is of utmost importance.

Teaching approach of the school

The school offers three internationally recognised diplomas- the French-English bilingual Swiss Maturity, the French Baccalaureate, as well as the International Baccalaureate taught in English. Emphasis is placed on language learning. The students learn English and are introduced to German at a very young age, before they begin a French-English bilingual programme, and have the choice to take advanced German. As for non-francophone students, they learn French through the French as a Foreign Language (FLE) programme.

Collège Champittet students have exclusive access to a music and dance programme developed in partnership with the Juilliard School in New York. The school also works with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA. Once a year several students have the opportunity to go to this university with a teacher to take part in a week of science.
In addition to its academic programme, Collège Champittet offers numerous educational trips and extracurricular activities (entrepreneurship, computer coding, different kinds of sports and artistic activities). The students are also able to participate in the school’s humanitarian projects by taking part in trips to Cambodia, Madagascar, Thailand or Tanzania.
