Use of technology in the classroom

Aiglon's students gain a comprehensive grounding in using and interacting with computers, software, and technology, covering everything from touch-typing and word processing, to data analysis, web design, and video editing.

Students learn to write programs using industry standard software and, by the Third Form, acquire a skillset equivalent to the International Computer Driving License.
Outside lessons, students who enjoy programming meet weekly to design and create computer games. Other popular activities include Lego Mindstorm robotics, and creating web-driven databases using PHP and MySQL.

Yes. Students wear a uniform at Aiglon until they enter the IB programme, when they are required to wear smart business attire. For all activities, including sport, expeditions, skiing,at school events and when representing the school, students will wear relevant uniforms.

Brief description of entry evaluation required

All applying students are required to submit an application form, the previous 2 years' of school reports and a formal letter of recommendation from their current school. Applicants then sit the Aiglon entrance tests and an interview with the Head Master. All families are recommended to visit the campus.

The Learning Support department provides specialist teaching to support pupils with a variety of learning difficulties, through individualised intervention and personalised target setting.

Aiglon's team of qualified Learning Support teachers work one-to-one with pupils and alongside staff to enable these students to maximize their potential, and ensure they achieve success.
