Qualities and characteristics best defining the school

The New Zealand International School – Jakarta is a private, international school located in Kemang, South Jakarta, Indonesia. It was established in 2002 for expatriate and local students living in Jakarta. It is the only school in Indonesia to offer a New Zealand based curriculum.

NZIS has two campuses in Kemang that are about 100 metres from each other. The primary campus caters for the younger students aged 2 to 12 and the secondary campus looks after the emerging young adults.

Teaching approach of the school

The New Zealand Independent School is a select school that follows the Te Whaariki Early Years program from NZ and then the NZ Curriculum for its Primary years. In Secondary students follow Cambridge Secondary 1, then IGCSE and culminate in taking A Levels at Grade 12.
