The school conducts assessment of all applicants in order to establish their academic level and ensure that the child is able to access the school programme and provision of support required. The testing is diagnostic which helps the school to deliver a personalised learning and teaching programme.

Learning support offered

The Learning Support Team welcomes children who have additional learning needs and develops individual plans to suit their requirements. For some, this will be a short-term plan to overcome a particular barrier, whilst for others there may be the need for ongoing support.
Where children are identified, or have been assessed, as having an additional need, Alpha's team will work with the child, their parents and any outside agencies involved to develop an individual education plan. Wherever possible, Alpha will support children to achieve within the classroom.

The Foundation section and the Primary school have separate play areas easily accessible from their classrooms. There is a multi-purpose hall on the first floor for gymnastics and indoor physical activities. The Qusais park 3 will be used as an extended play facility for The Alpha school.
