Al Bassam Schools began their journey in 2001 with the establishment of a girls’ school that included Kindergarten and the Elementary Stage for both boys and girls. In 2002, the boys’ campus was completed, and the Elementary Stage opened with a total enrollment of 354 students.
Since then, the schools have steadily progressed toward excellence, expanding their educational stages and academic facilities to become a fully integrated educational complex serving all levels from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The International Programs School in Al Khobar opened in 2000 with 19 students. To date, the school has an enrollment of more than 1443 students representing over 53 different nationalities. IPS is a dynamic, gender-segregated, international school in KSA offering a North American curriculum. IPS is accredited by MSA and authorized by the Saudi Ministry of Education.
In 2016-2017 IPS has become an IB World School offering the Primary Years Program (PYP and the Diploma Program (DP).
