All the activities and program at our school are all conducted in English so there are no need for extra classes for that language. Children learn to learn and speak English after being in our school for few months.

We do not offer any additional language classes but all our teachers have finished Danish course up to 6 level.

We only use computer and projector for special program and events. Not an everyday use.

Sunrise Preschool in Hellerup north of Copenhagen offers a fun and educational program for children ages 2 to 6 years old in English. By creating a safe and nurturing environment in beautiful surroundings we hope to open children's hearts and minds to the unlimited experiences in the world around them. Based on the principles of Neo-.humanist education we seek to instill in the the children an appreciation and respect for people, animals and the environment.

Teaching approach of the school

The teaching method at Sunrise Preschool are based on a child centered approach to education which caters to each child's individual and learning styles. While our curriculum includes an academic program, our main focus is to help the children develop and expand their own interests and unique talents. We also strongly emphasize " learning by doing" and support the children in making their own choices individually and as a group. The main areas of teaching include physical development through music, dance, games, sports , yoga and outdoor activities.Intellectual development through knowledge and understanding of the world, math, language arts, cognition, literacy ( using jolly phonics). Social, emotional and personal development through problem solving, interaction during circle time, group projects and daily routines. Creative development through music, arts and crafts, painting and theatrical play .
