A French school focused on academic excellence
The educationnal programm at EFI strictly respects the French National Education curriculum. Regardless of their nationality, students receive personalised support and follow a school curriculum that will lead them to the French baccalaureate and then to the best universities in the world.
Bilingual education from kindergarten onwards
From kindergarten onwards, students learn English but also in English. This means that after a complete education, students will have the ability to express themselves in both languages, both orally and in writing. English represents 50% of the teaching time in kindergarten and elementary section, then in secondary section it will represent 30% of the time.
As from secondary, students will also be offered the option of learning Dutch, and other languages (Spanish, Chinese, German, etc.). To achieve this, the school applies a pedagogical program based on immersion, progressiveness, personalization and active pedagogies. In addition, all language teachers are native speakers and have a teaching diploma.
An international openness that promotes understanding of the world
The educational project is geared towards international openness and the development of intercultural exchange, which is reflected in many concrete actions: a cosmopolitan community, cooperation and exchanges with schools abroad, particularly the Odyssey school network.
Open to pupils of all nationalities, EFI Brussels is able to welcome non-French-speaking or non-English-speaking pupils in kindergarten or elementary school. To achieve this integration, the school has set up a "Portal Program" system allowing rapid learning of French and harmonious integration into our curriculum, as well as skill groups for learning English.
A modern and well-meaning pedagogy
The school applies a positive and active pedagogy, based on cognitive sciences, which strengthens students' confidence and facilitates the acquisition of 21st century skills (communication, creativity, mastery of new technologies, etc.). The pedagogical team gives priority to the personal development and success of each student.
