Teachers are primarily recruited from the U.S. or Canada for consistent North American accent.

Language support for students not fluent in English

English Language Workshop Program. Students qualify based on their score on the Stanford English Language Proficiency (SELP) test which is taken prior to enrollment at GES. Enrollment is mandatory based on student's score. (Additional tuition fees apply.) For 3 hours a week students are pulled from general curriculum to work with a grade level-specific ELW teacher and a small group (approximately 5) of students in the same grade level. ELW teachers will provide additional support in content areas, as needed.

An IEP is an individual education program uniquely designed to meet the needs of individual students who require special services, classroom modifications or accommodations to be successful at Global English School.

Students who are placed on IEPs meet the two or more of the following qualifications:
- Student is diagnosed with a disability that affects her/his learning.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of progress in academic content.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of progress in behavior management.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of social development in accordance with their age.
- Student has been retained in current grade level for any reason.

There is a wide range of activity-based club that are available for students to join, based on their grade level, throughout the week: soccer club, basketball club, chess club, badminton club, science club, Dutch Blitz club and so on. (If there are enough students interested in something, there is likely a teacher willing to be an adviser for that club!).

Sports activities included

A required class for all students from Grade 1 through Grade 12, physical education provides for the mental and physical needs of the whole child. (Health and nutrition are also taught Grade 6 and Grade 8, respectively. ) When students are in middle and high school, they may sign up for an additional sports class - like basketball, volleyball or boxing - under this category other than their weekly general PE class. Games and Field Days are also annual events that are tied in with physical education.
